Who uses Flipit chairs
So who will benefit from this unique idea? Everyone who needs a practical seating solution where storage space is at a premium. Homes, offices, city apartments, galleries, hospitals, airports, schools, institutions and corporations will all benefit. The unique Flipit provides readily available seating when needed and then, when closed, fits into a smaller space than any other comparable chair.
It can be used anywhere indoors and out. Domestically it can be used in any room in the house and in the garden as well. Visually the Flipit fits into almost any environment as the design is purely functional and does not reference any particular style.
At home
The Flipit is a great seating solution for today's compact living spaces. Small enough when closed to put away easily, at hand when you need extra seating and comfortable to sit on for longer periods of time. Why not incorporate one into your kitchen design plans? And you can take the Flipit outside into the garden or on to your balcony.
The structure is made from pressure die cast aluminium, extruded aluminium tubes and plated steel rivets. The seat, back, feet and tube inserts are made from injection-moulded polypropylene so it won't suffer when exposed to the weather.
In the office
Office space is always at a premium and our work places have needed to become more adaptable and multipurpose to ensure that overheads are kept to a minimum. Our unique seating solution can help revolutionise working environments and make the most of the space available.
The Flipit chair is also a seating solution for companies who want their employees to have a spare seat that is out of the way under their desk … but instantly accessible for meetings when needed.
Cafés and restaurants
The Flipit has proven itself to be a practical and successful café or restaurant seating solution. Flipit is easy for staff and customers alike, no springs, no catches, no nonsense. With one simple movement this chair instantly transforms into a neat little package that stands up on its own, then with another simple movement flips open again. This makes it easy to move, clean and stack away.
There is also an opportunity for cafés and coffee shops to brand there own version of the chair. The frame colour, the seat and the back can all be specified to match brand guidelines and can be overprinted with images or logotypes.
Health and transport
As unpredictable environments, both hospitals and airports have to cope with unexpected surges of people who's comfort and seating needs have to be planned for. Designated waiting areas can quickly fill up with travellers or patients and their families at busy times.
The Flipit is a good solution for these public spaces, providing additional comfortable, robust seating, which can be quickly erected and then quickly stored away. This also allows areas to be more effectively cleared and cleaned.

Cafe Garcia
Cafe Garcia is a very popular tapas restaurant in busy Portobello Road, London. In 2008 they purchased Flipit chairs as they have very limited storage and seating space. At the end of each day the floor is cleared and cleaned. Flipit chairs were ideal for this due to their easy folding nature. Extra seats are stored in a small space under the stairs so can be accessed quickly at very busy times when they are needed. garciacafe.co.uk
Toronto University
In March 2009 the University of Toronto purchased 250 Flipit chairs as they required their seating to be flexible and moved quickly and efficiently from one room to another for hosting different events. They also purchased Flipit trolleys to store and transport the seats. Take a look at the gallery to see how they look in situ.
“The Flipit chairs are very comfortable. When we did the departmental breakfast. It was towards the end and suddenly I realized I hadn’t noticed the chair at all. Which meant I was comfortable, real comfortable.” utoronto.ca
La Monnaie
La Monnaie, the world famous Opera house in Brussels, bought in excess of 100 chairs to use in their grand venue. They needed a chair which was easy to set out, easy to store and looked fitting amongst the grandeur of the impressive buidling. They lamonnaie.be
